Important rules:

 

                             Participants who was not confirmed their participation at Yanra 2k13. Their participation and registration was cancelled and further they will not be allowed for any events. 

 

                            All the participants must bring the printed copy of the intimation letter, a letter of approval to participate in Yantra 2k13 from the HOD and college ID cards.

 

                             All the participants are requested to follow the instructions specified for Eureka and Texhibit before preparing the necessary documents and final presentation.

 

                            Participants who registered online without getting an intimation mail from Yantra are cancelled out and they cannot come and attend any of the events of Yantra.

                     

 No on-spot participation and on-spot accomodation are provided for any participants at any case.

 

 

Eureka

 

General rules:

  1. Any undergraduate student of any discipline is eligible to participate in this event. However PhD students and research scholars are not allowed to present their papers.

  2. Each team may have a maximum of two members.

  3. No team is allowed to send more than one entry for the same title, and for the same event.

  4. This event will be conducted in two stages and its detailed procedures have been clarified below.

 

STAGE-I:

Abstract Submissions

  1. Participants are needed to send in the abstract of the original/review work including the references, the idea proposed with figures (if needed) to yantra.eie@gmail.com

  2. Abstract should not exceed 500 words and the covering page of the abstract must have Name(s), Institution of study, Email address(s), contact number(s), Name of the title you wish to present the paper in, & Topic of paper presentation.

  3. Your email should have the Event name and Category name as your subject and your file name should have the title of the concerned paper. 

  4. Titles and Title codes :

    Semiconductors/Electronics - SE 

    Process Controls - PC

    Robotics and Automation - RA

    Industrial Instrumentation - II

    Bio-medicl Instrumentation - BM

    PLC,DCS and SCADA, - PDS

    MEMS - MM

    Recend Trends in Instrumentation - RTI

  5. For Example, A paper is based on (or) under the category of the title 'process control', then your mail should have its mail subject as “EUREKA: PC”

  6. Selection to the next round for final presentations will be based on the abstract submitted.

  7. Deadline for Abstract Submissions is 3rd September 2013.

  8. The result for the first round will be mailed to you on 7th September, 2013.

 

STAGE-II:

Full Paper Submissions

The second round will be conducted at college during YANTRA 2013 (13 September, 2013).

  1. Participants should bring three hardcopies of your complete paper (i.e. printed report) and formatting rules should be strictly followed. A font type of Bookman Old Style with a font size of 12 should be kept, in any case, should not exceed 12 pages in length, double-columned (IEEE Format).

  2. Participants should ensure that their papers include all relevant figures, tables and bibliography.

Final Presentations

  1. Final Presentations should be in “.ppt” format strictly and should be timed for 15 min. (12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for Queries).

  2. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

  3. Maximum 2 members per team.

 

 

Texhibit

 

RULES:

  1. Maximum three members per team.

  2. Abstract should not exceed 500 words and the covering page of the abstract must have Name(s), Institution of study, Email address(s), contact number(s), Name of the title you wish to present the project in, & Topic of project presentation and it hould be sent to yantra.eie@gmail.com on or before 3rd September,2013.

  3. Your email should have the Event name and Category name as your subject and your file name should have the title of the concerned project.

  6. The intimation of selected projects will be informed through mail on 7th September,2013.

  7. While presenting a project, Working model is mandatory for hardware implementation.

  8. Project explanation time will be maximum of 10mins followed by queries.

  9. Participants should bring required components for their project.

  10. The decision of judges shall be final and binding.


 

 

BRAIN FUZZ

 

Rules:

The Brain fuzz, which is a purely technical quiz event, comprises of three rounds.

TECHTAINMENT

                 This event has many surprising on-spot fun events which will be unleashed on 13 SEP '13.

 

 

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Note:

 

  1. No on the spot registration for any event is encouraged.

  2. The participants who got their intimation on 6th September,2013 have to register online to confirm their participation.Online registration portal will be uploaded on the above mentioned day of intimation and the deadline for registration is 9th September,2013.

  3. Registration fees will be collected at the registration desk on the spot.


Yantra provides registration in two categories:

  • Registration with Accommodation: Charges would be INR 400 inclusive of food and lodging for 1 day,  along with a Yantra Kit.

  • Registration without Accommodation: Charges would be INR 200 and the participants will be provided with a Yantra kit on registration.

  1. All the participants are requested to bring their College ID card for participation at Yantra.

  2. Participants must bring a letter of approval for participation in Yantra 2013 from their respective Institute/Head of department/Faculty head.

  3. Participants should bring their own locks (preferably with 2 keys) for the security of their luggage. No such things would be provided by Yantra Team.

  4. Yantra will not be providing accommodation facility to any participants(except girls) who have their colleges within 50 km circle from our campus. (The decision of approval of accommodation remains solely with Yantra).

  5. Registration is open only for the participants who have been shortlisted in either Eureka or Texhibit event. To confirm the same, you should have received a confirmation mail from Event Coordinator to ensure your shortlisting. 

  6. Accommodation to all participants will be provided inside the campus.

  7. Accommodation facility will be provided from 6.00 PM on 12th September to  6.00 PM on 13th September,2013.

  8. All the participants are required to vacate their rooms by 7.00 PM on 13th September,2013.

  9. There will be extra money charged for the damages done to mattress, pillow, bed sheet etc. that we will be providing. It is the user’s responsibility to keep these articles damage free.

  10. Accommodation will be provided on a shared basis and any request for individual room will not be entertained.

  11. Accommodation would be provided on first come first basis.

Participants have to send their abstracts for both the events (paper and project presentations), with above mentioned instructions for sending the abstracts.
